Does anyone own an infrared heater?

Does it work well in your home? Im considering buying one for the main floor and shut off the basement and put the oil heat to rest.
Then is a pellet stove the best way to go?

    Yes. you can lower your homes temp to save money and sit in front of the heater to feel warm. they will not warm your whole house though. Just a small area where you are.
